Building a portal and dating Amity
In "Through the Looking Glass Ruins", the twins seem to be aware of Luz's crush on Amity, leaving the two alone together when they start blushing. Later, when Luz arrives at Blight Manor in order to tell Amity that she got her job at the library back, they can be seen watching the two of them, with Edric noting Amity's bold move of giving Luz a kiss on the cheek. Luz first learns about Vee's existence during her attempt to make a portal to the Human Realm in "Yesterday's Lie" when she sees Vee in her house, disguised as herself.

When they hear the selkidomus' lair, the reward money is stolen and Luz chases after the culprit, only to learn the thief is Eda and lose the reward money. Soon, the Golden Guard arrives and threatens to kill King, who he took captive, if Luz and Eda do not slay the selkidomus. She then reveals she knows Eda is avoiding the riskier ventures because of her and Eda lists the positives that happened to her since Luz came into her life. The selkidomus approaches with its baby and Luz and Eda pretend to slay it to get King back. After the Golden Guard leaves, they tell the selkidomus to flee deeper into the sea and it vomits up selkigris, a valuable substance at the Night Market, much to Luz's disgust and Eda's joy. When the three return to the Owl House, they relearn that Lilith has made a scrying potion to spy on the emperor and they order take out.

Not wanting to get Amity in trouble, Luz suggests going back, but Amity is determined to help. They find the diary but also an echo mouse that ate most of the pages, to which a frustrated Luz shouts "You Little Rat!", alerting Malphas who kicks them out of the library and fires Amity. Distraught, Amity does not want to hear from Luz but admits to her confused feelings before she goes home. Later at Blight Manor, Amity tries to explain her feelings to the twins, but Emira says "You weren't happy before" before asking Amity if she wants her hair dyed green again. Luz and her friends manage to convince Boscha and the rest of the school to turn on her, resulting in her defeat once again.[17] In the epilogue, Kikimora is seen helping to rebuild the Boiling Isles, possibly as penance for her misdeeds. The Collector takes King as his personal playmate while turning most of the Boiling Isles' residents into puppets. Showing sympathy for him, they take him on a tour of the Boiling Isles to the sites of past adventures so they can help him understand true friendship. When Belos possesses the Titan's heart and infects the Boiling Isles, Luz sacrifices her life to save the Collector, who becomes remorseful while realizing the fragility and value of life. After Luz is restored to life by a repentant Titan, the Collector helps keep her friends and the Archive House safe, and is shown gratitude by Amity once Belos is defeated and destroyed.
Luz and the others then become shocked and horrified after the Collector easily splatters Belos against a wall. In addition to her father's death, Luz struggled to adjust to life in Gravesfield throughout her childhood and into her teens, with most of the town's people resenting and ostracizing her for her antics and unusual behavior. From an early age, Luz's eccentricities resulted in her being unable to make any friends, as other children found her weird and repulsive, while also receiving disgust from adult onlookers who would regularly openly criticize her for her behavior. In school, her antics were often disruptive, regularly getting her in trouble with the faculty and landing her in the principal's office on several occasions.
After seeing Kikimora struggling to get time off to attend a family reunion, Luz desires to recruit her in their plan to get to Raine and Kikimora agrees to help. After Vee goes inside, Camilla expresses her fears that she can never speak to Luz in person again as Luz explains that staying in the Demon Realm was the best decision she ever made. Upon hearing this, her mother becomes distraught and thinks she drove Luz away. As Luz apologizes, she is being pulled away and Camilla makes her promise to stay in the Human Realm.
Principal Bump
Amity originally encounters Luz when she poses as Willow's abomination, stealing her "top student" title. Suspicious of Luz, Amity attempts to expose her to the point of convincing Principal Bump to dissect her. Since then, the two were almost always at odds due to Amity's snobbish behavior, despite Luz's attempts to make amends. Like many witches, Amity underestimates humans, believing they are incapable of performing magic until Luz shows her an alternative method of spell casting. It is shown in "Lost in Language" that Amity had been trying to figure Luz out, whether she was a poser, a nerd, or at worst, a bully. After Luz apologizes for reading her diary and lets her borrow her fifth Azura book, Amity seems to acknowledge her attitude towards Luz beforehand and at least promises to think on her behavior.
Upon noticing that the Abomaton has returned, she asks Luz if she attacked it as her father puts multiple alarms in his works. As she is about to face Warden Wrath, her father shows up and scolds Amity for ditching tryouts. As her father moves in to grab her, she angrily swats his hand away and takes an invisibility glyph from Luz before running off. During the Club Fair, Amity learns that the author of The Good Witch Azura books, Mildred Featherwhyle, is signing books in town.
As the battle rages on, the light particle settles down to the water of the In Between Realm. The particle forms into Luz's spirit, and she begins to sink into a dark void, thinking about how she should have thanked her friends instead of a short goodbye. What Luz sees in front of her is an old Titan resembling King with a small Hooty head sticking out of its eye. She mistakes the Titan for King at first before the Titan introduces himself as King's father and the Titan of the Boiling Isles, which leads Luz to believe that she is also dead. The Titan clarifies that Luz is only partially dead, but will die if she sinks below the waters of the realm. Although Luz is surprised to finally meet King's father, she ponders where they are and how it is possible.
Back in the galaxy dimension, Luz is catching up with Eda and King, introducing Stringbean to the pair and Owlbert, who's been in Eda's hair all this time. While Luz and Eda quickly become defensive, the Collector innocently replies he is only having fun; King pleads the Collector to see his games are dangerous, but the Collector states "toys break all the time" and he can still fix them. It dawns on Luz that the Collector does not grasp the concept of death, but she has little time to process before the Collector whisks them all away to play his games.
